Through the CCTV program, the folk charm of "Yantun Big Drum" in Lingshan County has been displayed.

Yandun drum originated from the traditional percussion art of Lingshan County, mainly distributed in 268 natural villages in 20 villages including Dengtang, Shidui and Changlu in Yandun Town, Lingshan County. Drum making has a long history in Yandun Town. Since the sound of drums has the meaning of exorcising evil among the people, every Spring Festival, the people of Dengtang Village spontaneously organize drum performances. A series of folk entertainment activities such as "Fighting the Drums", praying for a bumper crop and a safe season.

Dengtang Village is one of the ethnic minority villages in Yandun Town, and the villagers are all Zhuang. The Zhuang folk songs in this village have a long history. According to the local genealogy and oral textual research, its history has been more than 500 years. Villagers use songs to express their feelings and cheer up during labor, festivals, and going out to meet friends. Young men and women sing duets with love songs to gain each other's favor and sing love with love songs. Dengtang folk songs include political, labor, love songs and riotous songs. Mountain lyrics are mostly improvised and handed down from generation to generation. In Dengtang Village, it is a traditional custom to sing duets with folk songs to cheer up the happy events such as marriage of men and women and the birth of a child. Nao Getang is a cultural custom of the Zhuang people in Dengtang Village, and its custom has been passed down to this day.

Yandun Drum was included in the second batch of intangible cultural heritage list of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government in 2008, Dengtang Village was rated as Guangxi District Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2012, Yandun Drum Training Base, and Guangxi Drum Training Base in 2013 Thousands of households benefiting the people project Yandun Dagu Village.

In recent years, Lingshan County has taken the opportunity of creating a demonstration village of ethnic unity and progress to promote the infrastructure construction of ethnic villages, the development and protection of ethnic culture, vigorously excavate and inherit the intangible cultural heritage of the Zhuang ethnic group, and promote ethnic unity and integration. Taking Dengtang Village, a village inhabited by ethnic minorities as a demonstration site, it has successively invested 2.5 million yuan to improve the infrastructure of the Zhuang inhabited areas, built a 3-kilometer-long hard-bottomed cement road, and built a cultural and sports service center and a party-mass service center. Build the "Yantun Big Drum" base and folk performance square, set up the "Yantun Big Drum" workshop, and set up the "Yantun Big Drum" performance team, the Zhuang folk song team, and the eight-tone team.

Hold "Yantun Big Drum" cultural festival, Zhuang nationality "March 3" and other festivals, carry out folk activities such as "Yantun Big Drum", "Folk Song Duet" and "Bamboo Weaving Competition", and set up "Yantun Big Drum" teaching classes in middle schools and village primary schools. Protect and inherit the "Yantun Big Drum" folk custom, and promote ethnic cultural exchanges and ethnic integration. In the past five years, Yandun Town has raised more than 42 million yuan to build 110 kilometers of hard-bottomed cement roads, 12 kilometers of sand-stone roads, 35 kilometers of three-sided light canals, and 13 public cultural and sports service centers. The production and living conditions of the villagers have improved. Significant improvement; more than 60 cultural evenings were held, which promoted the unity and integration of ethnic groups, and the sense of happiness and belonging of the people of all ethnic groups was significantly improved.
