Erhu, a traditional stringed instrument in China, has been on the road of modernization and specialization since the 1920s with the efforts of the folk music sages represented by Liu Tianhua. The continuous deepening of erhu professional education, the emergence of new works, the continuous improvement of technology, the diversified presentation of forms, and the continuous emergence of playing talents have become the highlights of the development of erhu art in the past century. The 7th International Erhu Competition of "Qingle Cup" organized by Beijing Qingle Culture Development Co., Ltd., China Peace Audio Video Electronic Publishing House and other units will be held in February 2023.

It has become a trend of the times for China's national musical instrument performance competition to become "international", which indicates that China's national musical instruments have had a broad international influence, and it has become a microcosm of building a "cultural power". From the perspective of the division of this competition, it covers seven levels from children's group to adult group, and falls into two categories: non professional group and professional group. From the division of age, we can also see the refinement of erhu education and talent training. I hope this competition can add luster to the development of erhu art.
