The Australian Highview School of Public Welfare recently held the awards Show of the Chinese Traditional Culture Talent Competition in Canberra. More than 200 guests from Sydney and Canberra attended and watched the show. The evening began with a "sword dance" by the Australian Chinese Association Dance team. The long sword flew and the silver shone. Later, the Chinese folk dance began in the cheerful folk songs. The dancers expressed the local sounds and feelings in the dance language, which was full of strong local flavor. Ancient poetry recitation "Mantingfang", with traditional Chinese medicine to give poetry charm, more show the Chinese culture.
The Canberra Chinese Opera Club brought the Peking Opera performance "Drunken Concubine". The exquisite Peking Opera costumes filled the stage with splendor, the Beijing tone and rhyme, and the sigh was three times folded, as if bringing us back to the fertile soil of the land of China.
The performance of traditional Chinese Musical Instruments made the party immediately lively. The guqin is the oldest musical instrument in China, which has been around for more than 3,000 years. The sound of the guqin played that night was so distant that it seemed to come from ancient times. Flute performance, the sound of the flute is crisp, like a hundred birds contend; Guzheng playing low euphemism, sobbing.
In addition, there were martial arts performances and Qigong performances, which showed the essence of Chinese martial arts in a comprehensive way and left a deep impression on the audience.
Erhu player Liu Ying mesmerized the audience with her performance of the famous Erhu song "Good Night". The Erhu is one of the oldest Musical Instruments in China. Liu Ying's performance brings it to life. The musical emotions, the joys and sorrows of the tunes, all flow from the strings.
"Jasmine" by soprano Yafen and Liu Ying, ambassadors of cultural exchanges between China and Australia, stirred the whole party hall. The wonderful singing and the beautiful piano were a perfect combination. Yaffin also sang "High mountains and flowing Water" to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia. It was full of deep feeling and great meaning. She dedicated the poem and boundless expectations and wishes to every audience present.
