From November 19 to 20, the first Hunan Tourism Development Conference was held in Zhangjiajie City. During the event, intangible cultural heritage projects such as Dong brocade weaving skills and Dong pipa song in Dongdao Dong Autonomous County were displayed, attracting the attention of many citizens and tourists.

In the exhibition area, a series of "Dong brocade patterns" are particularly eye-catching. On the exhibition stand are a series of Dong brocade handbags, throw pillows, bedding, shawls, scarves, clothing and other non-heritage products. Next to the booth, a girl of Dong nationality in traditional Dong costume showed the pipa playing and singing, which attracted visitors to stop to enjoy and feel the charm of the intangible cultural heritage of Dong nationality.

"It's great to see so many traditional handicrafts full of ethnic customs in Zhangjiajie! These brocade patterns are very beautiful and Dong brocade bags are very special. If you have the chance, you must visit the passage." Ms. Wang from Guangzhou said.

Dongdao Dong Autonomous County has rich cultural deposits, and the customs of Dong language, dress, song and dance, food and other aspects are fully preserved, with unique characteristics and rich customs. At present, it has 4 national intangible cultural heritage protection projects such as Dong Lusheng, Dong brocade weaving skills, Dong opera and Dong wooden construction skills of passageway, 7 provincial intangible cultural heritage protection projects such as Dong Dage and Houlu Song, and 20 municipal intangible cultural heritage protection projects. It is the hometown of Lusheng culture and art and the only national demonstration base for production protection of Dong brocade weaving skills.
