On August 27, the "First Erhu Competition in Zibo City" was held in the Zhangdian District Cultural Center and was a complete success. The competition was hosted by Zibo Musicians Association and Zhangdian District Culture and Tourism Bureau, and undertaken by Zibo Erhu Professional Committee and Zhangdian District Cultural Center.

The competition is divided into seven groups: children group A, children group B, teenager group A, teenager group B, youth group, youth professional group and middle-aged and elderly group. The contestants range from six to seven-year-old children to seventy-year-old children.
