The legend of Dolangewapu

According to legend, Duolang is "Tulan" (meaning "group") in ancient Uyghur language. In ancient times, people in the western edge of the Taklimakan Desert worked and lived together in groups, forming a branch of the Uyghur people, so they were called Duolang people. It is also said that this is a general term for the people on the banks of the Tarim River, and the musical instrument they use is named Dolangjewapu.
