Mr. Zhou Yanjia is committed to innovating Qin Zheng's art, reforming musical instruments and seeking breakthroughs. In 1960, he developed the double-row zither, and in 1972 he trial-produced the 16-string pedal-tuned zither. These musical instrument reforms, in order to better reflect the characteristics of Qinzheng art, not only provide new ideas for the development of guzheng art, but also lead guzheng artists to carry forward the spirit of innovation, change and excellence while adhering to the tradition.
