The pen pipe is a folk wind instrument of the Buyi nationality in Libo County, Guizhou Province. It is popular in Libo, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, and Huanjiang, Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The "pen tube" is named for its shape like a writing brush. The tube body is like the pen of a writing brush, and the resonance tube is like brush hair. The folks call it "lei guongm" (lei guongm). The main sound "sol, re" is the roll name homophony to call the pen tube, "Gongmu" refers to the lowest note "sol" of the pen tube, and "le" refers to "re". In the actual playing, the person who plays the pen pipe also plays "sol, re" to test the sound first, which is the same as the "suona" called "mile" in some places.
