On June 27, the Suzhou Folk Orchestra "Music in Wuzhong, Chinese Music" folk concert was held in Yuexi Street, Wuzhong District, Suzhou, which kicked off the 2022 "Music in Wuzhong" series of activities.

It is reported that the opening concert was jointly performed by the Suzhou National Orchestra and the Wuzhong District Cultural Center. In the form of a fusion of Chinese orchestral music with Peking Opera, Pingtan and vocal music, many classic red works were presented. "Xing Guangming" opened the concert; the folk instrumental ensemble "Celebrating Jiangnan" and the guzheng solo "Fragrant Jasmine" showed the thriving scene of Wuzhong's land; Zhao Qinhua in Tsing Yi and Zhang Jianzhen, winner of the Peony Award for Chinese Opera Art, reproduce the classics of opera.

The piano huqin quintet "Listening to the Garden" was created and performed by the Wuzhong District Cultural Center. Young pianist Yan Wenting and young huqin player Yu Xiaoyan portrayed a thousand-year-old Grand Canal and mountains and rivers with rich melody. The picture of the harmonious coexistence of Wuzhong people; the pipa concert "Sing a Folk Song for the Party", Jinghu and the band "Deep Night" and the female solo "Ling Navigation" brought by the singer Zhao Yiyu to relive the history of the party and sing praises for the magnificent century-old struggle of the Chinese Communist Party .

The finale song "My Motherland" tells the story of the ups and downs that the Chinese Communist Party led the people of the whole country with patriotism. The rich expressiveness and splendid presentation of musical instruments of different ethnic groups won applause from the audience one after another.

It is understood that "Music Wuzhong" is a public cultural brand event in Wuzhong District, which has been successfully held for three seasons since 2019.
