The Chinese Erhu Music Canon is edited by Zhao Hanyang, a famous Erhu player and professor of the Central Conservatory of Music, and published by Hunan Literature and Art Publishing House. The 20-volume book covers various types of Erhu music works, including traditional, folk, adapted and original, from the period of Abing to the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China. With comprehensive contents, rigorous data and clear marks, it is not only a precious document for related research, but also can be used as a teaching material for professional music colleges. Each volume is accompanied by an index of all the tracks in the published volumes for easy retrieval. In addition, in order to enhance practical value, in addition to Erhu Qu music, each volume also has dulcimer or piano accompaniment music.

Seinfeld, vice president of the National Academy of Chinese Opera and president of the Huqin Association of the China Music Association, summed up the characteristics of the "Chinese Erhu Music Canon" with "complete, meticulous and convenient", "The Qu Canon has revised and edited the published content, and rescued many valuable works that were facing loss, which is very valuable".

Tan Jingjing, general manager and editor-in-chief of Hunan Literature and Art Publishing House, hopes to take the publication of "Chinese Erhu Music Canon" as an opportunity to develop more and better high-quality traditional Chinese music topics in the future, and work together to promote the prosperity and development of national music culture.
