Recently, the "Zha Nianqin" training for talents in the three districts for the first time in the history of Saga County ended successfully. The graduation ceremony and report performance were held at the County Comprehensive Cultural Activity Center.
This training aims to provide cultural learning opportunities for the performers, cultural volunteers and amateur Zha Nianqin enthusiasts of the county art troupe, and enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the cadres and the masses. The training class specially invited a professional teacher from the Art Department of Tibet University, Zha Nian, to give lectures, and a total of more than 40 students signed up to participate. After one month of training, all the trainees were able to master the basic playing skills of Zha Nianqin and complete the basic Zha Nianqin playing and singing independently, and achieved good results.
In the graduation report performance, the students of the county art troupe showed the students' basic playing and singing skills of Zha Nianqin by playing and singing 7 programs including "Sakya Wine Song", "Kampo Folk Song" and "Xizijiang Luokangsa".
Involving musical instruments
Zhamunian (pinyin: zhā mù nián) has a long history and different origins. It evolved from a multi-stringed musical instrument introduced to Tibet from ancient India. According to the records of the "Tibetan Wangtongji" in Genyu, Songtsan Gampo once gave a banquet. There are records of artists playing musical instruments, and it is judged that Jamunian was introduced to Tibet from the mainland in the Tang Dynasty, and has a history of more than 1,000 years. However, most Tibetan scholars believe that Jamunie originated in Tibet and was a musical instrument created by the Tibetans themselves.
