The old man, Zhang Guofu, is 64 years old. He is from Zhuzhuang Village, Guandi Temple Village. He has been playing erhu for more than 50 years.

Zhang Guofu told the reporter that he was influenced by his father to play erhu. He began to learn from his father when he was seven or eight years old. In order to make a living, he joined Xiaojinzhuang Yuediao Opera Troupe in Tanghe County, Nanyang City with his father, and took the lead. In addition, he can play the suona. For decades, he has performed with the troupe in Henan, Anhui, Hebei and other provinces, and returned to his hometown after retirement a few years ago.

"Guofu is more interested in erhu. It has been playing erhu for more than 50 years. Many neighbors like to listen to him playing erhu. The tune he plays is very good. I go to his house every day to listen to him play a song." In the reporter's interview, his neighbor Yan Shifu said.

"In the past, I used to play erhu to earn money and support my family. Now I'm rich and don't worry about food and clothing. Now, playing erhu is to share happiness with everyone." Zhang Guofu said.
