Recently, "Zheng Path" Wang Zhongshan Guzheng Concert was staged in the Grand Theater of Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre, attracting many audiences in Suzhou. At 7:30 pm, the Chaozhou string poem "Fude Ci" (Activity 5) was performed with great enthusiasm, marking the beginning of the concert. This song is one of the representatives of Chaozhou string poetry and music, evolved from temple music, expressing people's longing and prayers for peace and happiness. The musician performed in the unique "Huowu" mode of Chaozhou music, with a unique charm, and the first piece won thunderous applause from the audience.

The entire concert is rich in content, with a selection of tracks that balance tradition and modernity. In addition to the Chaozhou string poem "Fude Ci" in the first half of the performance, there were also Hakka music "Zhaojun Resentment", Zhejiang school zheng music "Lin Chong Night Run", Shandong Daban "Beautiful Women Miss Hometown", and Henan zheng music "Han Jiang Yun" adapted by Wang Zhongshan. Each piece of the unique regional color of the zheng music art classics is like a trickle, immersing the audience on-site and spreading a beautiful picture of China's zheng music map, Let people watch the land of China with Zheng music.

Wang Zhongshan's interpretation of traditional repertoire is based on adhering to and inheriting tradition, bringing new life to the ancient music that contains brilliant charm. In the second half of the song, there is a collection of excellent works created or adapted by musicians, including "When the Clouds Rise", "Spring Breeze Sings", "Remnant Flowers Sigh", and their adapted Mongolian folk song "Toast Song". The artist's bold attempts and innovations in music expression vividly interpret the new artistic style of the guzheng, and also reflect the unique artistic style formed by guzheng masters on their long journey to "zheng".

This concert also invited other instrumental performing artists to perform together, including piano, flute, percussion, etc., allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the unique charm of the guzheng and various instruments, such as the harmony of the qin dynasty. At the end of each song, the audience would burst into enthusiastic applause.

It is reported that Wang Zhongshan is a contemporary zither performer, educator, professor and doctoral supervisor of Music of China, chairman of the Chinese Musicians'Association zither society, director of the Chinese Musicians' Association, etc. He once won the first place in the International Chinese Ethnic Instrumental Solo Competition for the Guzheng. His playing skills are weightless, his timbre is soft and beautiful, and he is good at expressing rational thinking through emotional music language. He is a leading figure in the art of Chinese Guzheng.
