Parents are frugal and squeeze money out of their teeth for their three daughters to study. Hua Guoxiu has been smart and sensible since she was a child. If she can study for a long time, she will undoubtedly become a talented woman.

However, life was bumpy and uneven. When my mother went out to work, she caught a heat stroke by the Yangtze River. Because she was not sent to the doctor in time, Fang Hun died early. After that, the father raised three daughters alone. In order to lighten his father's burden, Hua Guoxiu, a young man, gave up his studies and worked for his father.

In 1958, due to the good performance, the county recommended Hua Guoxiu to participate in the Sichuan Quyi performance. The fledgling Hua Guoxiu, with its beautiful appearance and clear voice, stunned the audience with the song "Sable under the Moon" and was highly praised by the conference.

After that, in the Quyi troupe, Hua Guoxiu has been participating in various performances organized by the troupe. The performances at that time were all comprehensive, and each performance was a turn of various quyi performances, which was called "quyi comprehensive". In 1960, in order to train actors, "single-hall" performances were encouraged, that is, there was only one performance of folk art, and one person performed the whole show. Hua Guoxiu is the first batch of actors to accept the task of "single hall".

The reason why Hua Guoxiu's bamboo qin performance is wonderful comes from her day-to-day study and meticulousness. When portraying different roles, she will work hard and strive for perfection. Singing the negative characters is not a simple facial expression, but works hard from their reactionary nature, so as to bring out the heroic characters' cleverness and invincibility in the world. In 1975, Hua Guoxiu participated in the Sichuan Quyi performance, and won unanimous praise from the leaders and experts of Sichuan Province with "Love Like the Sea". They praised Hua Guoxiu and made bold innovations in singing, not only retaining the original style of the bamboo qin, but also blending the tones of Sichuan Opera, Huangmei Opera, and Yue Opera. It's refreshing.

In 1982, Hua Guoxiu participated in the "Spring of the East Sichuan Gateway" performance and won the grand prize for "Huawei Eliminate Traitors". In the same year, he served as the head of the Quyi troupe, leading the troupe to a new journey.
