At 3:00 p.m. on October 11, a special ethnic concert of Ruan with the theme of "Ruan's Words" was staged in Suzhou Qinxi Experimental Primary School. This performance is one of the 2022 "Elegant Art on Campus" series activities sponsored by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Finance.
The passionate performance of the young musicians of the orchestra and the guide and appreciation of the host set up a stage for the students of Suzhou Qinxi Experimental Primary School to appreciate the artistic beauty, and also let the students feel the beauty of the silk and bamboo orchestral strings and the charm of the traditional Chinese culture.
At the concert, a piece of "Sailing on the Taihu Lake" sounded slowly, and Jiangnan tenderness rippled between the stages with the rhythm. Later, 11 well-known Chinese and foreign songs were played, including "Romance of Love", "Singing in the Far Away", "Man Jiang Hong" and "Drunk under Flowers". The music is either soft and romantic, or based on Tang poetry, or has a strong western music style, or shows the cheerfulness and enthusiasm of ethnic minorities singing and dancing. Through the artistic expression of Ruan, a traditional national instrument, all kinds of music items are alternately interpreted by solo and ensemble, making classical and modern blend, connecting the nation with the world, enriching students' multi-level and diversified hearing enjoyment, It also deepened the students' understanding of the artistic characteristics of national musical instruments, and brought a lively musical culture feast to the teachers and students of the school.
Teachers and students were intoxicated by the familiar melodies, wonderful performances and simple explanations. "I am very grateful to the Provincial Department of Education, the Department of Finance and the Suzhou National Orchestra for giving us such an opportunity to introduce elegant folk music into the campus, so that we can enjoy the charm of folk music closely, and also plant a seed of the inheritance of Chinese national music culture in the hearts of children." Xu Yilu, a teacher of Suzhou Qinxi Experimental Primary School, said.
It is reported that since the Suzhou National Orchestra launched the "Elegant Art on Campus" series of project activities in 2018, it has held more than 100 public benefit concerts for Suzhou universities, middle schools and primary schools. In 2022, the orchestra will continue to popularize excellent traditional culture and art, improve the artistic accomplishment of young people, and strive to do a good job in the "elegant art into the grassroots, into the campus, into the enterprise, into the military camp" series of cultural performance for the benefit of the people. The orchestra will play the growth melody of students with the sound of silk and bamboo orchestras, and make contributions to further deepening the art and aesthetic education of Suzhou's districts (cities), towns, streets, and schools.
