1. When taking out the dulcimer from the piano box, be sure to hold the middle part of the left and right sides of the piano body with both hands, do not hold the front and rear sides of the piano body, so as not to break the strings.

2. The tuning of all the strings on the piano should be set according to the standard pitch. When turning the peg, the action should be slow, so that the pitch gradually increases from low to low. The tuning should not be rushed, so as not to set the string too high. In light of the damage to the strings, in severe cases, it may damage the horn tenons and loosen the tops and pegs.

3. The strings should not be touched frequently except for playing, so as not to rust and deteriorate due to the sweat on the hands. Due to the long-term use and tuning of the strings, the metal filaments wrapped around the strings will loosen and peel off, which also directly affects the clarity of the piano's pronunciation, and new strings should be replaced. Generally speaking, new bar codes are only semi-finished products and need to be trimmed before they can be used. The code bar of the piano should be placed in a certain position, and a slight movement can change the sound of the piano. The contact part between it and the panel should be tight, so that it can be placed stably and firmly, so that each string can sound evenly. The height of the string code has a great influence on the sound quality of the piano, and its height must be determined by the piano and treated individually. If the bridge is too high, the sound will be unclear, the tone will be dull, and the response to fast playing will be insensitive.

4. When the peg shaft does not twist, apply a layer of black lead powder and a little soap to the place where the peg shaft is in contact with the shaft hole, so that the peg shaft will not be too sticky to twist. Conversely, when the pegs are too loose, you can apply a layer of chalk at the place where the pegs are in contact with the shaft holes, or in severe cases, apply some rosin powder, and the pegs will no longer slide.

5. The strings should be wound neatly on the peg. Be sure to press the string head under the wound string, then turn the peg, and make the wound string close to the bottom of the peg hole. Hold the string to prevent it from backing up. Also, aligning each string with the string groove on the mount not only makes tuning easier, but also reduces string damage.

6. In order to keep the violin clean, wash your hands before playing, so as to avoid the dirt and sweat on your hands from contaminating the violin, which will cause the paint to peel off. In addition, it is absolutely forbidden to smoke while playing, to avoid fireworks falling on the panel and cover and damaging the paint. If there are stains on the dulcimer paint surface, it should be wiped clean in time. Stubborn stains can be wiped off with a soft fabric dipped in a little toothpaste. The dulcimer has been used for a long time, and if a single area of lacquer peels off, in addition to repairing it with lacquer, you can also use walnut kernels to wipe off the lacquer part, which can also play a protective role.

7. After playing the dulcimer, use a soft fabric to clean the dust on the front and cover of the piano body to keep the lacquer surface of the dulcimer clean and beautiful. After each use of the dulcimer, there is no need to relax the strings, because frequent tuning and tuning will put more pressure on the strings than when the strings are tensioned. If the dulcimer is not used for a long time, the strings should be loosened to the fifth or sixth degree, and the strings should not be loosened too much, otherwise the bar will fall down, and the sound beam will be affected by climate change and cause the panel to crack. Put the violin in the violin box, and cover it with a quilt. The cloth covering the violin should not be too large or too small. If it is too large, the violin will be squeezed by the violin box. 8. Climate is closely related to the maintenance of musical instruments. Wet climates can cause dulcimer wood to swell and degumming, and dry climates can cause dulcimer wood to shrink and crack. In order to better maintain the dulcimer, it should be avoided as much as possible in an environment with drastic changes in climate and large fluctuations in humidity and temperature.

9. When moving the dulcimer, handle it with care, take it out, and pay special attention to the safety of the dulcimer to avoid bumps. The dulcimer must be packed well when transported to other places. In addition to packing the dulcimer in the box, it should also be wrapped in moisture-proof paper. Put it in a wooden box, the piano box should be firmly stuck in the box, the gap should be filled with soft and elastic material, and the words "moisture-proof" and "handle with care" should be marked on the outside of the box to ensure the safety of dulcimer during transportation. . Some piano cases have wheels under them, which can be pushed around, but do not push them in places that are not very flat. The vibration of the piano body will sometimes cause the dulcimer to go out of tune.

10. If the dulcimer has been used for a long time or is affected by the weather, some faults and damages will inevitably occur, which should be repaired in time. The common damage to the dulcimer is that the pegs are loose and the pegs are inclined to the left, and the peg holes are sharpened, making tuning difficult and often out of tune. If the shaft hole is worn out, plug the old shaft hole and re-drill the shaft hole. When repairing, first expand the old shaft hole with a 6-8mm drill bit, then take a colored wooden stick with the same straight diameter, and insert it into the new hole with glue. drilling. If the position of the old shaft hole is correct, the center of the colored stick can be used as the center of the drill hole. 11. When the dulcimer has been used for a long time or has been bumped and has peeling and degumming, it should be repaired with patent leather or paint, and it is best to use the original patent leather or paint to repair. The color of the refurbished lacquer or paint peeling parts should be in harmony with the whole qin when repainting, and then wax and polish the lacquer surface of the whole qin to make the original dulcimer look new.

12. The dulcimer has a complex structure, so be careful when cleaning the dulcimer. When there is dust or dirt on the piano surface, do not use a towel to wipe under the strings. Use a small brush to gently brush the dust and slowly sweep the dust out.

13. When the dulcimer strings fall off the bar, do not lift the strings back hard, as it is likely to break the strings. It's best to lift the strings up after the strings are relaxed, and then screw the pegs back on.
