Legendary composer He Zhanhao, 91 years old and known as the soul maker of the Butterfly Lovers, recently announced that he will conduct the symphonic version of the guzheng concerto "Landscape" for a global audience with the Changchun Film Studio Symphony Orchestra.

2024 marks the 65th anniversary of the premiere of China's first violin concerto, Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai. "The 65th Anniversary of the birth of the Butterfly Lovers of Dunhuang" and Jia Xiaoli Solo concert of He Zhanhao's works will be played in Changying Concert Hall on June 21. He Zhanhao, the 91-year-old Chinese famous composer, outstanding musician, conductor and music educator, who is the main creator of the Butterfly Lovers, will personally conduct the Changying Orchestra to reproduce this beautiful and magnificent legendary song. Guzheng player Jia Xiaoli, national first-class conductor Fan Tao, Changying Orchestra chief He Nan, Erhu player Wei Guo, young violinist He Cardinal Cong, together with the Changying Orchestra, brought a wonderful musical feast that carried forward the traditional Chinese culture and full of national affection to Spring City music fans and audiences.

He Zhanhao is the first group of outstanding musicians trained in New China, the first violin concerto in China, the treasure of national music "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai". He personally experienced the development of new China's music, and wrote hundreds of famous songs, and his works are all over the world. Focusing on traditional Chinese culture, he has made great artistic achievements in composing ancient poetry and folk songs. In 2013, he won the "Lifetime Achievement Award" of the Golden Bell Award, the highest award of Chinese music art.

In this concert, Mr. He Zhanhao will personally perform two works, the world premiere Guzheng concerto "Landscape" symphonic version, and the guzheng and violin "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai". Before the performance, He Zhanhao will personally share the creation background of Guzheng concerto "Landscape" to help the audience better understand and integrate into the work.

Jia Xiaoli, a professor of Guzheng in the Department of National Instrumental Music of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, and a director of the Guzheng Society of Chinese Musicians Association, was the soloist of Guzheng in the concert. The guzheng she uses is a limited edition co-titled guzheng from Shanghai Folk Musical Instrument No. 1 Factory and Shanghai Museum to celebrate Mr. He Zhanhao's 90th birthday. Jia Xiaoli, Changying Orchestra and Yu Zhiyun Zheng Orchestra will jointly perform "Jasmine Fragrance" and "Lin 'an Regret" composed by He Zhanhao and other famous guzheng songs. Many classical works composed by He Zhanhao, such as the orchestral "Hu Teng Dance", "The Bank of the Ili River" and the Erhu Concerto "Troubled Times", were also performed on the scene. The concert was hosted by Liu Hongjun, a well-known host.
