The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced the list of the sixth batch of representative inheritors of provincial-level intangible cultural heritage. A total of 279 people from all over Zhejiang Province were on the list, including those from the Tiaoqiong Protection, Inheritance and Development Center of Xinchang County, Shaoxing City. Xing Zuobin. So far, Xinchang County, Shaoxing City has 6 representative inheritors of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage.
In 1987, 13-year-old Xing Zuobin was admitted to the Xinchang Tiaotun Secondary School with the encouragement of his father. His father used to be a performer in the Tiaotun Opera Troupe, and Xing Zuobin has a strong interest in music and has an excellent sense of music. After three months of trial training, Xing Zuobin was favored by Lv Yueming, the drummer of the band, who mainly attacked the drum board. Since then, two drum sticks and a sandalwood board have accompanied him for more than 30 years, and the years of hard learning have laid the foundation for his later growth into the first drummer of the troupe.
Different from other operas such as Peking Opera and Yue Opera, Xinchang Tiaotun is a qupai style. When performing relics such as Song and Yuan Southern Opera, Yuan Za Opera, Ming and Qing Legends and other relics, it uses "no support for silk and bamboo, gongs and drums to help the festival, opening in the front and helping in the back. The form of "dry singing" in the ancient opera "connected" has a unique singing style. Based on this feature, the role of drummer in a tuning band plays a very important role, which is equivalent to the conductor of a symphony orchestra, not only directing the entire band, but also guiding and cooperating with the performance rhythm of the front-stage actors. Therefore, for any play rehearsed by the troupe, the plot of the whole play, the narration and singing of the actors, and the drummer need to be thoroughly familiar with it. Before the troupe rehearsed the "West Chamber", "Pao Hong" and "Going to the Banquet", there was no drum score in the ancient opera. Xing Zuobin dug out the old artist's video in the early years of the troupe, watched it repeatedly, and realized the emotion of singing, sentence by sentence. Jot down each rhythm little by little. "The older generation of artists are mostly taught by word of mouth, because the drum score cannot record the specific techniques and emotions of each drum beat. Now I have my own apprentices, and I also take them by hand to 'pick up' plays, practicing over and over again. Keep the rhythm and charm of each play in your heart." Xing Zuobin said.
With more than 30 years of experience in art, Xing Zuobin has never stopped learning, and his skills have become increasingly proficient. He has inherited the Southern Opera "The Story of the White Rabbit", the Yuan Dynasty drama "Autumn in the Han Palace", "The Story of the West Chamber", the legends of the Ming Dynasty "Guan Yunchang", "The Jade Hairpin", Qing Dynasty The legendary "Iron Crown" and other more than 30 plays have been performed in various parts of China for many times, and won many heavy awards. In recent years, most of the newly created plays in the troupe are also designed by him. Xing Zuobin has his own understanding of the status of the representative inheritor of the provincial-level intangible cultural heritage in Zhejiang Province: "Master is a national-level intangible cultural heritage, and he taught me all the skills without reservation, and I taught these skills in their original form. Give it to your apprentices, and pass it down from generation to generation, so that the art of tuning will always be less active."
