When not playing the piano, the professional method is to place the piano on the table with the board facing up, cover with a thin gauze to prevent dust from falling, put a small pillow on the back of the handle, and let the piano recline on the table. to reduce the pressure on the headstock. Usually, you can rub some walnut oil on the surface of the compound hand to make the sound softer, especially for the northern piano.
For example, when the pipa is temporarily placed on the table after the performance, it is advisable to place the pipa flat in the center of the table, and it is not advisable to place the pipa upright and lean against the center of the wall. If you need to lean against the wall upright, you can only lean against the corner of the wall, so that the four pipa's zithers are against the walls on both sides. If the pipa is hung on the wall in a cloth bag, it should only be hung on the wooden wall, not on the brick wall; the fastness of iron nails and ropes should also be checked frequently. Only in this way can the most common pipa head be damaged or the bottom of the pipa be damaged and other traumas can be avoided.
Usually prepare a cloth to clean the piano, and always keep the head of the piano clean. Those who are prone to sweating in the hot weather must wipe the strings clean after practice to avoid rusting.
When gluing panels and heads, water glues such as yellow fish glue are generally used. This kind of glue is most afraid of getting wet, and degumming will occur when it gets wet. After degumming, the volume will be weakened and the sound will be more damaged. Therefore, it should not be placed in a humid place, and it should not be exposed to rain. Another reason to prevent the pipa from getting wet is that when the panel is wet, a large amount of water will be absorbed into the sycamore board, which will also reduce the volume. Therefore, even if the chemical glue that is not afraid of moisture is used in the adhesive panel and other aspects, the moisture-proof of the pipa should still be cited as an aspect that needs to be paid attention to.
