In addition to learning basic knowledge, the mastery of each new major requires the understanding and familiarity of some professional terms. So, what I want to share with you today are some professional "jargon" in #guqin# learning, come and learn about it!

a piano, a piano

In conventional sentences, people outside the circle are accustomed to use "ba" as the quantifier for the guqin, calling it "a guqin", probably because playing the qin is related to the hand, and holding the qin also requires the hand to grasp the dragon pond. In the guqin world, history is often used as the basis, and "zhang, bed" is used as the measure, and it is called "one qin, one bed of qin". The reason for this difference is the different understanding of the ancient books related to the guqin:

The quantifier "zhang" has the meaning of Chen Fang, that is, the guqin is made of two "zhang" (two or two) wooden boards, like paper, which is placed more like a large piece of paper on the table; classics are In Ouyang Xiu's "Liuyi Jushi Biography", the layman said: "My family has a collection of 10,000 volumes of books, a collection of 1,000 volumes of golden and stone relics from three generations, a qin, a chess game, and a pot of wine.

The quantifier "bed", the bracket and base on which the utensils are placed can be called "bed", so the utensil for placing the guqin is called "qin bed"; the poems are like Zhang Qiao's "Title of Friends Thatched Cottage" in the Tang Dynasty: "Three acres of waterside Bamboo, a book beside a qin.", Song Dynasty Qiu Yuan's "Huanxisha": "The moon is cool and the gold is trivial, and the qin is clean and jade is written." and so on.

But in modern times, beds are generally regarded as "beds for sleeping", and laymen tend to misunderstand "a bed of qin" as "a well-made bed, with several qins", which is ambiguous and not solemn. After considering the use of objects and words, the Guqin community is often referred to as "a qin".

anti finger

Normally, the guqin itself has the requirement that the strings can be fingered down. The so-called "strings can be fingered down" means that the guqin is "not resistant to fingering". It is difficult to press the tone above the emblem or out of tone.

"Anti-finger" mainly occurs in ordinary practice pianos. Due to the problems such as the high mountain or dragon gums of the piano, and the unreasonable "head down" of the piano, the distance between the piano surface and the strings is too large. As a result, it is difficult to press the strings with the left hand, especially the kneeling fingers below the fourth or fifth emblem, which are even more difficult to press.

sand sound

Press the strings with your left hand on the surface of the piano, play the strings with your right hand, and move your left hand left and right while pressing the strings. If you find any discordant noise like sand rubbing, it is a sand sound.

The sandy sound of the guqin is generally caused by the uneven lacquer on the surface of the guqin, which needs to be carefully polished by the violinist.

play board

Guqin hitting the board is slapping the surface of the piano when the strings vibrate. When playing an empty string with the right hand, the empty string hitting the piano surface is the hitting board; when the right hand plays the string, while the left hand presses the string and moves left and right, if it is found that the string touches the piano surface, it is also hitting the board.

There are two main reasons for the guqin to "play the board". One is that the air drying causes the wood to deform and the panel arches. Second, at the beginning of production, the relative relationship between the radian of the panel and Yueshan and Longgu was not handled properly, the angle of the panel was wrong or uneven, and the polishing process was not precise. In addition, if there is no problem with the guitar itself, it may also be the cause of the strings being too loose.

At the same time, anti-fingering, sandy sound, and playing the board are also collectively referred to as the "three diseases of the guqin", mainly because of some problems that occur when making guqin, and often appear in ordinary practice pianos. .
