Whether to buy type A or type B guzheng strings depends on your own needs. Type A strings have a looser feel and longer reverberation; type B strings have a tighter feel and are more suitable for high-intensity works. There are currently four types of guzheng strings: a-type strings, b-type strings, c-type strings and d-type strings.

The a-type string and the b-type string are the matching strings of the conventional 21-string guzheng, the c-type string is a seven-tone scale string, and the d-type string is specially matched for the multi-tone string combination zheng.

The appearance of the commonly used steel wire nylon winding is white. Among the 21 strings of type a and type b, four of them are green, namely the 3rd, 8th, 13th, and 18th strings. This color code is designed to make it easier for the player to distinguish the clear range. The interval relationship between the two closest green strings is an octave, and the pitch of the 8th string is a1.

Four of the c-strings (seven tones) are green, 2, 9, 16, and 21; three are red, 6, 13, and 20. D-type strings (five tones) are the same as A-type (five tones) B-type strings (five tones), and D-type strings (seventh tones) are the same as D-type strings (seventh tones).

The thinnest and highest-pitched string of the guzheng has the smallest string number, the string number close to the player is the 1st string, and the string forward to the largest and thickest string is the 21st string.

In the early days, the strings were made of horsetail and deer tendons. In the current period, nylon steel strings are the mainstream, which increases the volume and improves the charm. The strings are mainly imported from Germany, with uniform carbon content, long life, and high quality. Feel good.

Guzheng A-type strings and B-type strings have different feel.
