Guqin Basics (about 1 week)

Just open a guqin book, you can easily understand the basic knowledge of guqin. Including the name of each part of the guqin, sitting posture, tuning, the unique subtraction notation method of the guqin, the understanding of the left and right fingering, etc. This understanding process can generally be completed within one week.

Fingering practice (about 1-2 months)

This process is tedious, but very important! A solid foundation guarantees the effectiveness of your later studies. In this process, you will be exposed to some basic music knowledge (such as pitch, rhythm). If you have zero music foundation, don't worry, the teacher will guide you.

Introduction to piano music (about 1 year)

This is also a real introduction. The general sequence is "Xianweng Cao" - "Autumn Wind Ci" - "Drinking Crazy" - "Good Night Quote" - "Guan Shanyue", the teacher will adjust the piano music according to the students' learning situation to make up and correct the deficiencies place.

Generally speaking, it is best for beginners to learn Guqin once a week or every two weeks, and try to ensure that there is a certain amount of practice time or a certain amount of practice after each class.

You can lay a solid foundation in about three months, and you can play some ditties in about a year. If time or conditions do not allow for those who want to learn by themselves, it is recommended to ask a teacher to study for three months to lay the foundation before starting self-study.
