The murmur or resonance noise of the dulcimer is more complicated, but it must be formed by the state of its pronunciation. Therefore, to eliminate the noise or noise, the noise or noise source must be eliminated.
One is that the distance between the strings is too dense, and when the strings are struck and vibrated, they collide with each other to produce noise.
The second is that when the strings are pressed against the rollers or the mountain pass, the pressure is not tight, and the noise generated by the vibration between the gaps is generated when the strings are struck.
The third is the virtual contact between the strings on the silent side of the winding, or between the Yamaguchi steel bars or the bridge, etc., because it has its own vibration frequency, and it will be struck because it is consistent with the vibration frequency of a certain string. The noise caused by the resonance of the strings, etc.
If you can find the source of the noise, you can use a sound-stopping felt pad on the string of the noise source, so that it will no longer be pronounced and the noise will be eliminated. In addition, there will also be loose or damaged strings in the winding itself, crack vibrations in the frame structure of the piano body, panel, frame, roller board, etc., noise generated by the strings at the lid or outside the mountain pass, etc., which can be adjusted. Or replace the strings, repair cracks, cushion the strings and other specific methods as appropriate.
When replacing the strings of the dulcimer, first remove the original strings. For example, when changing the steel strings, wind the buckles used to hang the strings first, and set aside about one centimeter long strings according to the standard for extending the strings on the steel strings of the original piano. The buckle is placed on the piano board to prevent it from folding back, and the strings are cut with pliers to the required length, leaving about three or four centimeters.
The string buckle on the left side of the piano body should try to make the strings stick to the string hanging plate, not in the middle or on the top. After passing through the hole of the tuning shaft on the right side, generally make the string head about one centimeter perpendicular and parallel to the piano shaft, so that when the strings are wound around the tuning shaft, the string head can be pressed to prevent the strings from slipping back.
As the strings can be adjusted more and more downward, they cannot be wound on the shaft hole of the tuning shaft, so as to ensure that the strings can be pressed on the steel bars of the mountain pass, avoiding noise and prolonging the service life of the tuning shaft. When trying to replace the strings, it is advisable to ensure that the strings are in the correct line, the appearance is beautiful, and the strings are not tangled.
When replacing the string, there is no need to tie the buckle of the string, and the other parts are the same as the steel string replacement method and requirements. Pay attention to measure the length of the strings and tuning shafts to be appropriate.
