The first step, take the guqin

Hold the guqin vertically with the head up and the tail down.

The second step is to play the guqin

When learning to play, you must first place the guqin correctly before you can start, then the placement of the guqin should be: the head is on the right, and the tail is on the left. The zither of the guqin needs to be placed 8CM outside the right side of the piano table (the zither cannot be placed on the table). Anti-skid pads should be placed under the two geese feet and Yueshan (the ancients used slender sandbags, and now there are special anti-skid pads for small pianos).

The third step, collect the guqin

Generally, after completing the Guqin study, you will need to store the guqin and bring it back for review and practice in other places. Modern guqin is generally equipped with a piano bag, and some pianos are also equipped with a hard piano case, so their use should be: pick up the piano bag with one hand, hold the guqin with the other hand, and put the head up and the tail down. Put it into the piano bag; some pianos will have very long ears, and you need to put the strings vertically into the piano bag to prevent them from being grabbed outside; Tie the rope. The piano case is placed together with the piano bag according to the headstock and tail.

The fourth step, hold the guqin

When the qin doll occasionally goes out with the qin, in order to prevent the Aqin from falling and being damaged by bumps, it is necessary to "hold the qin correctly". The ancients held the qin with the face as yang and outward, and the back as yin and inward; the front of the head should be high, and the tail should be low. Nowadays, people who hold the piano are mostly those who turn their backs to the outside, and use the dragon pond to hold them tightly. Both can be the correct way to hold the qin and hold the guqin well, but it just looks like the posture is elegant or not.

The fifth step, hang the guqin

The ancients had a tradition of hanging a qin in the Aiqin. Even if they could not play it, the literati would consider hanging a qin in the room as an elegant thing. To hang the piano, you need to put the head down and the bottom of the piano inward, and use the "phoenix marsh" to hang it on the hook. In fact, the most important role of the hanging qin is to prevent the "slumping waist" of the qin, and the hanging qin is also very particular: it should not be placed on the wall, it is rustic; only on the paper and lacquer grids, it is better to be in the wind; no one needs to come and go. , Where children, women, cats and dogs are not, add bags to avoid dust when hanging. The main idea is: don’t hang it directly on the wall. It is best to have a paper-pasted wooden grille or a lacquered wooden grille where the piano is hung. It is best to be ventilated. More importantly, don’t put it in a place where it will prevent others or cats and dogs from directly touching it. In the place where the piano is hung, it is best to put it in the piano bag to avoid dust.

As a musical instrument, the best way to maintain the guqin is to play it regularly. Long-term placement will not make it "eternally youthful", it will only make its sound dull and even grow moths.
