It is a little difficult to get clean 4 and 7 presses without glissando traces. Especially the fast 3434 or 6767 of the same string, it is even more difficult to play the percussion cleanly. There are several methods to choose from:
1 Press the tone in advance, then play
This method works well for slow phrases. Due to the slow speed, if the sound is different from the previous sound, you can press the sound in place with the left hand in advance, and then play it with the right hand. After the sound, wait for the next tone of the press to be played, and then release the string with the left hand.
2 Silence method
That is, touch the string with the right fingernail (also known as covering the string) to silence the sound. Suitable for the same strings 3~4, 6~7. Before playing and pressing the sound, the fingernail of the right hand touches the string in advance to eliminate the remnant of the previous sound, stops on the string and does not play, and waits for the left hand to press the sound in place before playing. If it is 4~3, 7~6, after playing the keynote, cover the string with the right fingernail to eliminate the residual sound, and then raise the left hand again. This method is the method introduced by Yuan Sha in the CCTV Famous Family Teaching Song program. The speed is still limited due to one more muting action of "covering the strings" than normal playing. If it is not mastered well, it is easy to produce silencing marks.
3 Left and right hand height synchronization method
The left hand does not press the sound in advance, and the right hand does not cover the strings to silence the sound. But at the moment when the right hand plays the string, the left hand quickly presses the sound in place. Left and right hand movements are highly synchronized. This method is difficult to practice, but if you practice it well, even in the fast fingering of the same chord 3434 or 6767, you can make the pressing sound very clean and clear. And there is no redundancy and sloppiness in the action.
We know that even if the right hand plays the string at a high speed, in theory, there is always a short period of time between the fingernail touching the string and the string, and it takes a certain amount of time for the string to vibrate to a certain amplitude to produce sound. This is theoretically called "Vibrate". In this way, adding up the time required for the right hand to touch the string and the time it takes for the string to vibrate after the string is played provides the possibility for the left hand to press the sound in place synchronously. to the location. However, it requires the left hand to press the sound with strong explosiveness and agility, and requires the left and right hands to cooperate seamlessly and to be highly synchronized.
