Shuanglelang is a double-reed gas-sounding instrument of the Buyi nationality. It is popular in Zhenfeng, Wangmo, Ceheng, and Luodian, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province.
When playing Shuanglelang, place the tube body vertically, hold the two tube bodies with both hands, press the lower two holes of the double tube horizontally with the index finger and ring finger of the left hand, and press the upper three holes of the double tube horizontally with the index finger, middle finger and ring finger of the right hand, and the mouth contains the upper end spring of the double tube. The whistle is played with the cyclic ventilation method.
Can play the same degree of double tones. The sound is crisp and bright, and the volume is significantly increased compared to the single-tube Lelang. It makes the Bouyei love songs played in a melodious tone, with more distinctive national characteristics.
Because the thickness of the two pipes will be slightly different, the sound produced will also be slightly different, and the melody will often appear dissonant during performance.
