Kumuriyi is a Tajik plucked stringed musical instrument. Also known as Kumuri. The shape is the same as Dolangewafu and Rebub, and it is generally used for religion.
When playing, the body of the piano is placed obliquely in front of the chest, the left hand is holding the piano and the strings are pressed, and the right hand is using a wooden pick to play the strings. The seven-string Kumu Riyi, the tuning is: #f, A, #F, B, e, b, b, the two outer strings are the main strings, and the rest are resonance strings.
For the eleven-string Kumu Riyi, except for the high-pitched strings, every other two strings are set as the same tone, the two outer strings are the main strings, and the remaining nine are resonance accompaniment strings. c, e, e, a, a, d1, d1. The pronunciation is low and thick, the volume is loud, and the tone is deep. Do not change the position during the performance.
Kumuriyi, like Balangzi Kumu, was also a religious musical instrument in the past, and it could only be used when performing the mourning music of "Kasuyi" during funeral ceremonies. It has been used to accompany Tajik folk songs and dances. When the Tajik national band develops further, the reformed Kumuri will surely become an ideal bass stringed instrument full of national characteristics.
