If we are learning the guzheng from zero foundation, we must lay a solid foundation when we learn it first. Just like building a building, if you lay the foundation well, your building will be high and stable. Therefore, we must ask diligently, practice diligently, and learn diligently.
Before class, watch more guzheng videos, listen to some famous songs and watch some famous teachers' videos, it will help you a lot, cultivate a sense of music, the sound of guzheng is very pleasant, and you can listen to it more often. Then the basic knowledge of music theory should be taken seriously. It is recommended to buy a book on basic knowledge of guzheng music theory. There is also the perseverance and determination to endure hardship. Many things are often not as simple as imagined, and there will inevitably be some problems in the process. If there are problems, we must actively face them and not escape, otherwise the problems will never be solved. And it will also affect your study.
Then there is the sitting posture when learning the guzheng. The posture of playing the zheng is generally a sitting posture, a standing posture is adopted on special occasions, and some are played on the lap. The pedal should not be too high, and the height of the tail bracket should be the same as or slightly higher than the height of the piano bench.
The bench should be close to the zither body, especially when playing a wide zither with many strings. Generally, the underside of the body is about 6 cm to 10 cm away from the zheng body. You should sit close to Yueshan.
If the body is too far from Yueshan, it will make it difficult for the right hand to play and affect the control of the strings; if it is too close to the front of Yueshan, it will be difficult to press the strings with the left hand and the right hand will be inconvenient; when the sitting position is too high, the upper body is easy to lean forward; When the position is too low, it is easy to get nervous.
The correct sitting posture is: the legs are naturally separated, the upper body is upright, the arms and hands are relaxed and raised naturally, the spirit is full, and the attitude is natural. Play neither hunched nor overly puffed up; neither tight nor loose.
Remember to shake your head, your feet beat, and other bad problems. The correct playing posture is: put your right foot on the pedal of the fixed zither stand, look down slightly with your head, and stretch out your hands naturally according to the fingering at the beginning of the song, ready to play.
Then what you need to do is to practice more by yourself and ask the teacher for advice. Although you can learn it yourself, it will definitely be slow and detours. If you encounter difficulties, you can find the teacher to solve it yourself first, and you will benefit a lot. If you really can't solve it, ask the teacher again to avoid detours.
