Meidu is a single-reed gas-sounding instrument of Kucong people, popular in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province. It is an inseparable folk musical instrument for Kucong young people in their social and love life, and the elderly often play it to entertain themselves.
