The concert not only demonstrated the orchestra's superb playing skills, but also expressed good wishes for the prosperity of the motherland.

Recently, the "Lighthouse" symphony concert to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the third "Sound of Light" symphony music season, sponsored by the Publicity Department of Shenzhen Guangming District Party Committee and hosted by the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, was staged in the Guangming Culture and Art Center · Grand Theater, offering a congratulatory gift for the birthday of the motherland with a grand and magnificent sound full of deep feeling, and sharing a wonderful time of national celebration.

In this performance, the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, together with the current Shanghai Conservatory of Music associate professor of conducting, master tutor, well-known conductor Zhao Xiaoou, the head of the Central Chinese Orchestra, chief pipa player, national first-class actor Zhao Cong, lyric coloratura soprano, Shenzhen Opera and Dance Theatre young soloist Tian Siying to bring the audience a magnificent era of praise.

The repertoire of the first half of the performance includes the classic melody "Ode to the Red Flag", which expresses deep feelings for the motherland and takes the red flag as the theme; In 2014, pipa player Zhao Cong was commissioned by the Central Chinese Orchestra to create a large-scale ethnic concert "Silk Road", showing the new face of contemporary Chinese pipa art "Flying Silk Road"; The Symphony Overture of the New Era, which expresses the Chinese nation's continuous pursuit and yearning for a better life for thousands of years and depicts the brilliant prospect of harmony and unity and the renewal of everything in the future; There is also "The Voice of Shenzhen" in response to people's good wishes for the motherland and the happy yearning for the future of the era of the song "Lights in China."

In the second half of the concert, the symphony "Lighthouse" composed by Wang Danhong, an outstanding young composer in contemporary China, was performed. Commissioned by the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra and other six symphony orchestras, the work took nearly two years to complete the planning and creation, and was selected into the 2020-2021 "Symphony of The Times - Chinese Symphony Music Creation Support Plan" by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

On the night of the performance, the band led the audience to follow the evolution of the four movements of "Seeking", "Monument", "Journey" and "Ode to Light", and felt in the music the great journey of overcoming hardships, casting brilliance, creating an era and winning the future in the 75 years since the founding of New China.
