Guzheng, also known as Hanzheng, Qinzheng, Yaozheng and Luanzheng, is a traditional Chinese musical instrument. It is composed of mouth, bottom plate, string hole and other parts. Because of its beautiful timbre, wide range, rich playing skills and strong expressiveness, it is deeply loved by the masses.
The shape of the guzheng is a rectangular wooden speaker, with one string and one tone, arranged according to the pentatonic scale. The current general guzheng specification model is S163-21, S stands for S-shaped Yueshan, 163 stands for the length of the guzheng is 163 cm, and 21 stands for the number of strings of the guzheng. There are 21 roots.
In order to be easy to carry, there are also small guzheng, also known as half guzheng, portable guzheng and mini guzheng. The classification of small guzheng is generally distinguished by the length of the guzheng. The common ones are 80 cm, 85 cm, 90 cm, 100 cm, 116 cm, 120 cm, 125 cm, and 130 cm. Among them, the 116 cm small guzheng has the best sound.
The difference between the small guzheng and the big guzheng:
1. The length of the big guzheng is 163 cm, with 21 strings, and the length of the small guzheng is 80-130 cm, with 13 strings, 18 strings and 21 strings;
2. Compared with the big guzheng, the small guzheng is small in size, light in weight and easy to carry;
3. The small guzheng has a higher timbre, and is only suitable for practicing fingering, and the sound quality is not as good as the big guzheng.
