Combs has a long history. The komuz and the Mongolian Huobusi have the same origin. They are both stringed musical instruments created by the nomadic people of the ancient northwest of my country.

The history of Combs

According to legend, during the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Zhaojun married Hu Hanye Chanyu, the Huns, as his wife. The Hu people cherished Wang Zhaojun's pipa, and the new imitation musical instrument was not similar, so it was called "unsimilar". In Song Dynasty Yu Yan's "Corruption on the Banquet": "Wang Zhaojun's pipa was ruined and rebuilt by the Hu people, and its shape was small. Zhaojun laughed and said: 'It's not like it', and it is now a Hebisi".

In 1905, in the ancient Gaochang painting of the Tang Dynasty excavated in Zhaohahetun, Turpan, Xinjiang, there is an image of a child holding a long-necked spoon-shaped musical instrument, which is more similar to Komuz. It shows that as early as the Tang and Song Dynasties, Komuz has been popular in the northwest region of our country.
