Biyue corbel, a plucked stringed musical instrument of the Hani people. Named because the shape of the qin is similar to that of the corbel, there is such a legend circulating in the Hani people.
Legend has it that in ancient times, in the Ailao Mountains of Yunnan Province, there lived the Biyue people, a branch of the Hani people. A simple boy fell in love with a beautiful girl. When the boy proposed to the girl, the girl said: " My favorite is bamboo reeds, bamboo reeds and beautiful corbels. If you can make these three instruments, I will marry you.
"In order to get the girl's love, the young man carefully made bamboo reeds and bamboo reeds, but only the corbel made him worry. After inquiring, he found out that this is a legendary fairy qin, and no one has seen it before. , I only know that we must use the wood of wild mulberry tree to make the qin. But the wild mulberry tree grows far away, the mountains are high, the rocks are steep, the forest is deep, and the journey is long and difficult. The young man made up his mind, brought a brown rope and logging tools, After crossing ninety-nine streams and climbing ninety-nine cliffs, he finally found a wild mulberry tree on the cliff. With a brown rope around his waist, he swayed across the cliff and cut down the wild mulberry tree like a swing, and pulled it to the side of the road. He hid in the dense grass beside the road again, watching and waiting for someone who knew how to make a corbel.
We stayed until the third night, when a north wind blew, and three figures suddenly appeared on the side of the road. One said: "Isn't this wild mulberry wood!" The other said: "This is a good material for making corbels." The third asked: "Do you know how to do it?" The first two replied: "With wild mulberry wood, The corbel is used as the body, the hoof is used as the head, the lower part of the corbel is hollowed out, and the tungsten veneer is glued to make the piano box, and twelve small holes are punched to indicate that it can play twelve tunes, and then it is made of gold and silver. Strings, if you don't, it will be done." After speaking, he disappeared with a laugh.
The young man kept all this in his heart, and after returning home, he followed the words of the three gods and made a beautiful corbel. The young man happily brought the three musical instruments to propose to the girl, and finally got a happy love. Since then, the corbel has been passed down from generation to generation among the Biyue people. Later generations also compiled "Qin Tune" to tell the origin of the corbel, giving people inspiration.
