The Miao people have four strings, and the Miao people play plucked strings. Popular in Napo County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The structure and shape of Miao Sixian are similar to Yueqin and Yi Sixian.
The resonance box is in the shape of an oblate shape. The abdominal cavity is excavated from a whole piece of oblate pine or pine wood to make it the frame and the bottom plate. The top is covered with a paulownia veneer.
There are two symmetrical circular lattice sound windows in the upper middle and upper part of the panel, and there is a circular hole in the center.
The headstock and stem are made of a whole piece of red toon or hard miscellaneous wood, with a total length of about 65 cm. The head of the piano is curved backward and then forward in a semi-circular shape, like a chicken head, narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, 12 cm long, with a rectangular string groove in the middle, 7 cm long and 2.5 cm wide. Four axes are placed horizontally on both sides of the head (two on each side).
The pegs are hardwood, with a shaft length of 6 cm. The rod is long and wide, in the shape of a semi-circular cylinder, flat in the front and round in the back, with eight frets on the front. A wooden bridge-shaped bridge is placed under the central hole of the panel, with four strings of silk or nylon.
