The Miao Suona is popular in the Miao areas of Jishou, Huayuan, Fenghuang and other counties in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province.

The tube body is made of wood, mostly made of locally produced paulownia wood. The upper part is small and the lower part is large and the two ends are transparent. It is a hollow cone. The core is made of copper and is a hollow cone with a core length of 5 cm. The lower end is inserted into the mouth of the tube body.
