Four-stringed xiqin, a Korean bow-drawn stringed musical instrument. Popular in Korean ethnic bands.

In the 1960s, the Korean Xiqin performer Li Yinan and others successfully produced the reformed Xiqin and the four-string Xiqin, which have been used in professional music and art groups in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province.

Made of bamboo, the length of the tube is 13 cm, the front of the tube is covered with a paulownia panel, and the diameter of the surface is 9.5 cm.

Rods, pegs, strings
Made of ebony, red sandalwood or mahogany, it is a round cylindrical body, the headstock is curved forward in a meniscus shape, and two hardwood pegs are placed horizontally on the upper part of the rod. The shaft head is fitted with a metal helix (also known as a straight copper shaft) to fine-tune the pitch. There is a waist horse support string below the peg, and a wooden bottom bracket is added below the qin barrel to make the qin body stable during performance. Pull two steel strings.
