The length of the tube is 90 cm, the outer diameter of the upper nozzle is 3 cm, and the inner diameter is 2.4 cm. The back part of the pipe head is trimmed obliquely to make it semi-arc, and the remaining front side pipe wall is broken down into two layers along the bamboo pattern. Beeswax to form air intake channels 4 cm long and 0.5 cm wide. On the airway 1.5 centimeters away from the mouthpiece, a circular sounding hole penetrating the pipe wall is opened, and a thin bamboo sheet is sandwiched between the two layers of pipe wall below the hole as an air distribution valve. There are four circular sound holes under the front of the pipe, with a diameter of 0.5 cm, the fourth hole is 39 cm away from the mouthpiece, and the other sound holes are spaced 9 cm apart.
Taiping flute varies in the length of the tube, the airway production and the arrangement of the sound holes due to different regions. The shortest tube body is only 60 cm, and the elder can reach 100 cm. There are also air inlet channels that do not break the pipe wall, but are made by flattening the outer wall, covering a thin bamboo sheet, padding on both sides with bamboo strips, and tying strings outside. According to the sound holes, some have the first and third holes on the front, the second and fourth holes on the back, and some have the second and fourth holes on the front, the first hole on the right side, and the third hole on the left side.
