The pegs were originally made of realgar (that is, yellow deer, also known as barking deer) horns. It is mostly made of boxwood, yellow sandalwood or piano rod wood, in the shape of a cone, with stripes engraved on the shaft handle, and the axis direction is parallel to the piano barrel.
