The Hehuanxiao is a peculiar musical instrument of the Zhuang people, whose name comes from two meanings related to "Acacia", and is also a special "matchmaker" of the Zhuang people.
In Zhuang people's traditional festivals, festivities, and singing and other entertainment occasions, the Hehuan Xiao is a commonly used air-sounding instrument. In addition to the accompaniment of "Huan" (folk songs) of the Zhuang people, it is often used for solo, ensemble or unison, and can also be used with wood. Ye and other musical instruments play together in an ensemble, with various forms and rich expressiveness. In the social love life of young men and women of the Zhuang nationality, the acacia flute plays the role of "matchmaker" leading the way. When a young man and a girl meet for the first time, they often use music to speak to "Huan" and get to know each other. Even in love, they often convey their feelings with the sound of the flute, which is not fun. On the night of the bright moon, a pair of lovers strolling along the path in the forest, or snuggling beside the trees, accompanied by the melodious sound of the flute and humming softly, this is the happiest time for lovers.
