Guqin and Guzheng are two kinds of musical instruments that we often hear, so what is the difference between Guqin and Guzheng?
The body of the guqin is made of single wood, and the surface of the guqin is tied with seven strings. The strings are tied by velvet ropes, which are tied around the pegs. The guzheng is composed of a frame plate, a top plate and a bottom plate, and has 24-26 strings. The strings are evenly arranged on the surface of the zither, and each string is supported by a herringbone-shaped bridge.
The sound of the guqin is done by thick panels. The thin panel is easy to vibrate, so it is easy to pronounce, and the volume is loud, the sound is thick and deep, especially the bass part, which is like an ancient bell. The panel of the guqin is not only long, but also coated with a layer of lacquer and putty with antler cream. The sound of the guqin can be subtle, thick and unassuming. The guzheng can be adjusted in pitch, with a wide range, a large volume, a pure and beautiful timbre, and a melodious sound.
The playing of the guqin is often called fuqin, with the left hand pressing the strings and the right hand plucking the strings. The basic fingerings of the right hand are: hook, tick, wipe, pick, hold, break, hit, pick and so on. The basic fingerings of the left hand are: Yin, Yi, Chuo, Zhu and so on. When playing, the right hand can pluck two strings at the same time to create harmony. When plucking the strings with the right hand and pressing the strings with the left hand to take notes, you can perform various techniques such as reciprocating swinging "yin", "猱", up-glide "chuo", and glissando "note". Guqin has three types of tones: scattered tone, percussion, and overtone.
The common playing technique of guzheng is to pluck the strings with the big, food and middle fingers of the right hand, play the melody and master the rhythm, and use the left hand to follow the tension of the strings on the left side of the zither post, control the change of the string sound, and polish the melody. There are many fingerings of the zheng, the right hand has hold, split, pick, wipe, tick, hook, shake, pinch, etc., and the left hand has press, slide, knead, tremble, etc.
Guqin is the plucked musical instrument with the longest history in my country. It was formed more than 3,000 years ago. It is said that it was created by Fuxi and Shennong. Guzheng was formed much later and was formed in the Qin Dynasty. ) It was passed down with two women, and the two women wanted to fight, and they were divided into two, so it was called Qin Zheng.
