One of the criteria for distinguishing the quality of the guqin is whether the guqin is playing the board. There are two reasons for the guqin to play the board.

1. Air drying causes the wood to deform and the panels to arch.
2. At the beginning of production, the radian of the panel and the relative relationship between Yueshan and Longgu were not handled properly, the angle of the panel was incorrect or uneven, and the polishing process was not precise, resulting in insufficient space for the amplitude of the strings during sound scattering and pressing, causing noise.

How to deal with playing the guqin

1. Let's see if other people play or not, and the fingering can be adjusted. Sanxian, there are many qins with low profile and flat shape, which are easy to beat the board with incorrect fingering or too much force, but they are not actually board fiddles.
2. If you are sure to play the board, find a new one or return it for repair, but any larger piano shop or a well-known piano maker will solve the problem.
3. If you want to repair it yourself, it depends on the specific problem. If there are some small protrusions on the piano surface, then we only need to wrap it on a small rectangular wooden stick with 80-grit or 120-grit sandpaper, grind the protrusions off, and repaint it. . If the distance between the strings and the surface is too close, then we just need to make a new Longyin and Yueshan.
