Anyone who learns the qin knows that on the outside of the guqin, near one string, there are thirteen emblems inlaid. The emblem is the mark of the overtone vibration point, and also the mark of the position of the string when the sound is played.
However, the emblem has another magical effect. In the ancient times when there was no electricity, our ancients always liked to hold candles at night or play the piano under the moon after a day's work. At this time, the light is weak, and it is really not easy to find the emblem position. There is a kind of wisdom called using natural conditions to "reflect light", and the clam emblem came into being.
People found that the color of the clam shell was crystal clear and could reflect light well, so they polished it into small crystal dots to make the emblem. It can reflect moonlight and candlelight, which is convenient for picking up the sound when playing the piano.
There are thousands of musical instruments in the world, and I am afraid that very few musical instruments are specially considered for "playing under the moon".
Of course, there are also gold emblems, jade emblems, etc., but most of the gold emblems and jade emblems are used by dignitaries who are not bad money. Their playing conditions are relatively good, and the candles in the room are bright enough, so there is no need to worry about seeing emblem playing. No sound.
However, most of them still choose to use the mussel emblem. Playing the qin is a common thing. When it is more down-to-earth and integrated into life, coupled with the quiet night, it is more interesting to play the qin under the moon.
Bai Juyi, the male god of literature and art in the Tang Dynasty, had a deep understanding of playing the qin under the moon: "The moon rises and the birds perch and sit in the empty forest. It is a time when the mind is free and one can play the plain qin. Qi, wood should be the beginning of sound."
When the hustle and bustle of the day has dissipated, and the moon is bright and the wind is clear at night, I can sing a song under the moonlight candle, and I feel the breath is smooth and pleasant.
