The sound of the guqin is beautiful and beautiful, and it has the power to penetrate people's hearts. When I hear the sound of the guqin, I feel that the world is quiet, as if I have traveled back to ancient times.
Today, a relative and friend asked me: "Why do I often hear the sound of rubbing wood during the performance of the guqin?" Actually, it is not. It may be related to the recording of the guqin playing often. This situation is not obvious.
The so-called "rubbing sound" refers to the sound of sliding with the left hand, touching the strings (called "range" in guqin performance) when the sound is pressed, and the sound when the fingers touch the panel and the strings. This sound is not part of the music, but it is also inevitable.
But why is the rubbing sound of the guqin so impressive that listeners keep referring to it again and again? This is because in many musical instruments, the original pronunciation of the guqin is low, and the sound of rubbing the strings with the left hand will cover its original pronunciation. If it is another musical instrument, it is easy to eliminate similar sounds during the recording process. noise.
A recording technician who recorded CDs used to complain about this, because the frequencies were so close together that it was difficult to eliminate the harsh noise mixed with the guqin vocals.
For recording equipment, there is no automatic noise reduction for the human ear. When a string grinding sound of the same size is recorded and played back, the audience will perceive the string grinding sound as much louder than when listening to the scene. Therefore, most Guqin CDs can only have no way to protect the friction of the strings.
However, even in the field, the rubbing sound of the guqin is louder than the noise of other instruments. The first reason is that the guqin has no frets or columns, and the contact surface is too large, and the sliding grid is long. With such a long left-hand fretting distance, the left-hand fingers need to exert more force in the horizontal direction than other instruments, and this force is greater than other instruments. Therefore, the ancients have a saying that "pressing the strings is like a three-pointed wood", and there will naturally be a larger friction sound at this time.
Secondly, the left-hand vibrato technique of Guqin is very complicated. For example, in the left-hand technique "Yin", there are "Xi Ying", "Sing Ying", "Chang Ying", "Ji Ying", "Slow Ying" and so on, and naturally there are these complex fingerings in "Yu". Therefore, when the complex string vibrating is completed, it may be chanted three to five times around a range, which naturally increases the possibility of guqin friction.
Another important reason is that when the left big finger presses the string, it presses the string with the half-armor and half-meat part, which is very special. Strictly speaking, if only meat is used, the sound of rubbing the strings is less noticeable. However, after mixing the nail, the nail is a relatively hard material and inevitably makes more noise when it comes into contact with the strings and panels.
But then I found that some listeners felt very incomprehensible at first, but after a period of time, they were also fascinated by this sound. In fact, these noises are also part of the guqin. On the other hand, why is it not a kind of guqin? What about flavor?
