Guangdong lion dance belongs to the south lion of Chinese lion dance, developed from the Tang Dynasty court lion dance, after five generations and ten countries, with the southern migration of Central Plains immigrants, lion dance culture into Lingnan area, Ming Dynasty, lion dance originated in the South Sea of Guangdong, now spread in Guangdong, Guangxi and Southeast Asian countries among overseas Chinese. Since ancient times, the Guangdong lion is considered to be an auspicious thing to drive away evil spirits and avoid harm, every festival, or major activities, there will be a lion to cheer up, lasting, and passed on from generation to generation. In 1931, the "September 18" incident, the Japanese invading army shelled Shenyang, attacking the northeast, Guangdong music master Lv Wencheng created this short, but full of high spirit of the "Lion", to wake up the lion metaphor of the Chinese children who are not afraid of strong enemies, defending the country.
A clear clapper flute evoking the sleeping lion, the dulcimer, the Banhu spirit rang out, and hurried to keep up with the footsteps of the lion. In this lively and lively melody of string weaving, the lions raised their heads, turned their eyes, licked their hair, stretched themselves, jumped on the plum pile, moved, flapped, whirled, and flew, for a time, the lion's fierce and flexible leap in front of them, the scene of jubilation was ready to come out, and the shadow and gloom of the heart were swept away.
