Yin Weihe was born in Wuhan. In middle school, he was exposed to the performance of national instrumental music, and once participated in the ensemble with bamboo flute performance, and won the first prize of the national national instrumental music ensemble. In 1957, he went to the Hubei Provincial Radio Orchestra to perform professionally.
