The music was adapted by the author Mr. Zhao Manqin from a song of the same name in 1975. The prototype of the song is the widely circulated "Tea Picking Ballad" in Jiangxi region. Every year during the valley rain season, when tea picking girls go up the mountain to pick tea, they always sing the gentle and lyrical "Tea Picking Ballad".
