"Song of the Eagle" is a South American Peruvian folk song against the Spanish colonists. It was later adapted by the Paul Simon ensemble and covered in English. The melody of this piece is quiet, profound and lofty, which makes people feel clear. It is a rare and excellent work and has been included in the United Nations World Cultural Heritage. The original story is rumored to be based on the story of Peruvian freedom fighter Tupac Amaro. In 1780, he was killed while leading a revolt against the Spanish, and after his death he became a Condor, soaring in the Andes forever. The Peruvian people and this embodies the unceasing pursuit of freedom, and the literal translation of the song's title is that the eagle is flying. At the invitation of the China National Orchestra, this piece was adapted by the famous composer Ms. Wang Danhong into the form of flute and orchestra and performed at the National Centre for the Performing Arts during the China-Latin America Cultural Year. Later, in 2015, the composer Hu Tingjiang arranged the piano accompaniment for this piece at the invitation of Ding Xiaokui, which became a rare and smart piece in Dizi music.
