Fan Linfeng's Bamboo Flute Octet "Yunnan Memories - The Third Movement" is from the album "Music: Bamboo Flute".

"After graduating from Shangyin in 1982, he was assigned to play Zhongruan in the folk band of the Heilongjiang Song and Dance Troupe. Usually he played Zhongruan blindly when he had nothing to do, and then he played a piece. In 1984, he was invited by the orchestra to write for the Harbin Summer Concert. A piece of work, so I wrote "Second National Symphony" and asked Yan Huichang of the Central Chinese Orchestra to conduct it. During the period, I played this piece for him, and he suggested that I develop it into a large-scale concerto with three movements. It will be performed by the Central Chinese Orchestra. . "The Zhongruan song "Yunnan Memories" is a well-loved and well-known work for our generation of students, especially the third movement. In the summer of 2015, I started to adapt and transplant the octet version of the bamboo flute. Use four groups of eight bamboo flutes with different tunes to experiment with harmonic effects and interlaced sound effects. Use the techniques of long tones and double spit, and the harmonic effects of the eight bamboo flutes to construct different magnetic fields with interlaced points, lines and planes.
