Samurak is a Korean percussion performance form originating from ancient farming culture, usually using four instruments: long drum, small gong, big gong and round drum.
At the beginning of the piece, the long drum first strikes the relaxed rhythm, leading to the crisp and bright small gong. Deep and strong gong, and full of power of the round drum followed, with a patchwork rhythm, to create a joyous atmosphere. The enthusiastic and lively suona, accompanied by the percussionist's shouts, plays a melodious tune. In this music full of simple folk customs, feel the optimistic and heroic spirit of the Korean people in their work and harmonious coexistence with heaven and earth.
