"Returning Daoqing" is a collection of folk music popular in northern Shaanxi by the literary and artistic workers of the Luyi Art Troupe in Yan'an in 1942. When they heard the hearty tone of Daoqing in northern Shaanxi, they decided to use it. This tone wrote a song to praise the new "daoqing" of poor people turning over to become masters under the leadership of the Communist Party.

Guo Yazhi, a famous wind musician, graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music and studied under Chen Jiaqi, Hu Haiquan, Ren Tongxiang, Wang Gaolin, Liu Bingchen, Song Lichun, Hu Zhihou, Yin Erwen and other famous suona and pipe teachers.
